Philosophize with Manfred

Hi, I am Manfred. "I am not a philosopher; I just play one on TV." This would be my line. But joke aside; we do not need to have a high IQ to be a philosopher. Webster's dictionary defines the word "philosophy" as "pursuit of wisdom". We all are pursuing wisdom and happiness. Hence we are all philosophers. Whenever we speculate about morals, beliefs, ethics, aesthetics, metaphysics, religions, concepts, and attitudes we are philosophizing.

For me philosophy is strongly linked with spiritual matters. I believe that spirituality can make all of our lives richer and more fulfilling. I am not a profound, deep thinker and I cannot go into trance, neither do I have the ability to see the aura of other people; yet I am spiritual and occasionally -- here and there -- I try to use spirituality as a means to happiness.

Over the years I have collected some very simple and limited material that has helped me on my way towards spirituality. It is nothing out of this world, but I thought I share it with you. If it helped me, maybe it can help you. It is as small as a grain of rice, but -- who knows -- it might just be the jumpstart to some happy thought or an enlightened moment for you.
