Will We Ever Learn?
2001

Terror started in ancient times
Milleniums filled with brutal crimes

How many died in the first world war?
And what was it good for?

30 years later came the second world war
The death toll went into the millions and more

This was the past, and how is today?
Not any better I am afraid to say.

The streets of the Middle East are the scene of violent clashes
Terrorists have turned the World Trade Center into a heap of ashes

Within minutes more than 6,000 people were killed
With sadness and disbelief are hearts are filled

I have cried as I saw the images live on TV
It was horror in the strongest intensity

Will we ever learn?
Will we make the right turn?

Will we make the peaceful decision?
Will we ever have enough vision?

Will we do the right thing?
Will we stay away from the extremist wing?

Will the retaliation be even tougher?
Will the innocent again have to suffer?

Will love ever win over racial, religious or political hate?
With your help it can, so give your love now, before it's too late.

With special thoughts for the victims of the September 11 terror attack on New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.
