Past and Future

1999 seems a long time ago
More than 1000 days have passed by since then
Easy days, challenging days
Happy days, a few frustrating ones
We have overcome obstacles
We have learned to adapt
We have learned to interpret more accurately

We are entering a new period
New times, new rules
We will be challenged in different ways
Different pleasures are waiting around the corner
Different hurdles will pop up
But since we have more to lose
We have more to fight for

For the future I have a wish - for you and me:
May we find the energy to advance jointly
May we grow to uncover new common roads
May we be creative in crafting joint plans
May tolerance be our guide to shared harmony

That the future is even brighter than the past
That our found inner happiness will last
